This project was an extraordinaire opportunity to work intensely with the product design department at the FH Joanneum.
Together with the Eco Innovative Industrial Designers, we participated in the Siemens Home Appliances Award 2018. The topic: Prototyping the future.
Oscura is a smart storage solution which can be configured individually to the consumers' needs. For this, Oscura offers active and passive cooling compartments in two different sizes. The active & digital compartments are equipped with smart sensors, so the compartment adjust its climate regarding its content. This results in better energy usage as Oscura guides you with storing the right groceries together and turns off compartments if empty. The generated heat from the magnetic cooling system is lead thru the ventilation plugs to the passive cooling compartments. There this warmth enables the evaporation cooling effect. Thanks to an adjustable docking opportunity and smart plug valve systems, exchanging the single compartments and enlarging the storage system is not a problem.
Interaction with Oscura happens in four different ways. First the LED Matrix on every Compartment. Second the
projected control interface activated by foot movement. Third a voice API. Fourth the Oscura Companion App. The LED Matrix
on the front provides information about the content and the temperature simply and elegantly.
Occupied or dirty hand? The activated floor projection offers you the compartment overview and serves with opening compartments by recognizing the foot position on the projected icons. For searching specific ingredients the voice API or the companion app
sound like constructive ideas. The Oscura app also provides more functions like climate regulation for the power user and even the ability to check Oscura's content from everywhere. October 2017 - January 2018

VIME is a smart fashion mirror for your personal closet. Finding the right outfit never was so easy. VIME captures all your clothes and offers you a coordinated browsing thru your closet to find the best match. This project work consists of the conceptual part, an image video as well as creating a prototype to prove the idea of the concept.
Prototyping for getting the Proof Of Concept and proving the experience of browsing thru a virtual closet while seeing the clothes "projected" on the own body, was most important part of the prototype.
(Used Software: MAX.msp)The gesture simulation worked with some "magic gloves" attached via the Makey Makey to Max.msp software.
My Part: Concept, building and coding of the prototype.

Balthasar is a gamified content creator and travel advisor concept for the Austrian railway company. This project was created at the FH Joanneum in Graz, Austria. Travellers and commuters who already use the train frequently benefit by traveling, sharing meaningful content about the country and posting photos and information about beautiful places and sights in Austria. By doing so the users collect points and get Boni from the ÖBB. The App has two different modes, which may be chosen for every trip. The Explorer and the Follower. The Explorer discovers the country, creates content and shares it with the community. As a Follower, you are able to choose from that routes and get known to all the beauties of the Austrian country.
